Health and Safety

As Breakout is a private event, we have made the decision that in keeping with both the Provincial and Local health authorities, in addition to the policies of the hotel, that we’ll be enforcing the requirement of all attendees to be fully vaccinated and present valid proof of vaccination along with a piece of government-issued photo ID. The current Provincial standards for proof vaccination and other details can be found here.

In terms of mask requirements, we are aware that the Provincial government is considering lifting the mask mandate by the end of March 2022. We’ll continue to evaluate our policies along with monitoring the official health authority position on this issue and taking feedback from our community before making a final decision on whether they will be mandatory or optional closer to the convention. The Breakout team is committed to the health and safety of all it’s attendees and as such, we have planned for a convention that is reduced in capacity and focused on the wellbeing of its community. If at any time during the convention, you have a health concern, there will be dedicated staff on hand as part of our Safety Team (easily recognizable from their red Safety Ambassador t-shirts) that can assist you in addressing this concern promptly.

We’ll continue to post updates in the coming weeks on added safety measures that will be available within the convention spaces.
