Jerry Meyer Jr. will be a guest at Breakout 2018!
Gamer, Occasional Game Designer, Lego Collector, Partner: Lake Effect Gaming
Jerry’s love of gaming started in the late 70’s when he was exposed to D&D and other early RPGs. Over the years he has spent most of his RPG experience as a Game Master as well as collecting games from every genre he can find. Throughout college, Jerry ran multiple ongoing campaigns for his friends, including thrice-weekly Villains and Vigilantes games, Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, GURPS Fantasy, Teenagers From Outer Space, and a 9 year long Mekton Empire campaign.
He has been the Event Coordinator for two different game stores in the WNY Area duing the early and mid 2000’s, coordinating weekly RPGs, Organized Play, Weekly Tournaments, and dozens of game demos.
In 2007, he joined the staff at Dark City Games, working as part-time editor and writer for two years. During this time, he produced the company’s first instructional scenario, Orcs of the High Mountains, as well as the long-form programmed adventure, Little Black Book. While working for DCG, Jerry also helped to create the original campaign world, laying out the original maps and city states, along with the cultures and major races still in use today.
He has worked as Vendor Liaison for Queen City Conquest in 2015 and 2017.
Today, Jerry spends his time as President of an Industrial Water Treatment company, along with collecting 1000’s of Lego as well as running and playing weekly games. Recently, he became one of the Founder/Owners of Lake Effect Gaming.
